The stairs are in!!

We are really happy with how the inside stairs are looking

The openings at the top will be windows.
The wide spot in the actual stair well will have small oval window
New concrete for the under deck patio area!!  yeah
Today I filleted my first fish.  He was a yellow tail snapper.
We each made three fish dishes.  This was my Tuna carpaccio.
Who wants to come over to eat?

new walls

This is my latest find at  'Sams Club'.

Sam has a ball choosing his treat when he is good.

This week should be exciting, this is the beginning of the stairwell.
A whole new wall looks really cool.
The first floor will be the dinning room with curved walls and upstairs is
one of the bedrooms that is for guests (i.e. YOU)

I wish I had more news

I want to let everyone know how happy I am about blogging.  I, personally, have not had much to share this week that I thought would excite you, but I am enjoying Anna and Emily's Blog very  much. Please keep it up.

This past weekend we had two couples over for Shabbat dinner, and plans with friends both Saturday and Sunday nights.  Life here in Hilton Head is so much more social. There is always something to do and someone to do it with.  It is a very nice change.

Bill and I started a gym last week.  Today was our 3rd session with KIM.  We actually exercised for 2 hours today! I can also say that we did not enjoy any of it so I guess she is doing her job.

The house is moving along but I don't feel like anything is really picture worthy.  Bill and I are having real trouble visualizing spaces and so we are just more frustrated more than anything.

I guess that's all for now folks.

Today they worked.

Today the framers worked from 8am-5pm.
Very productive day.
The back windows are framed in.

Bill and I decided the guest suite still has the best view. (minus dirt hill)
Whole new wall and ceiling  for dining room

This week of work

Living 50 feet from the house is practically driving us both nuts.
Have you ever seen grass grow?

Above here is the new bridge across the foyer
The new wall here is the dining room wall
The new entry.
We had some really nice days this week.
Everything was pretty

progress?

This is our new ski hill.

This is all the dirt they had to dig out of the back.
The yard and pool deck has always been higher than the house, so when it rains, the lowest level of the house (garage) gets flooded. We have to fix that.

We cut away some more pool deck
Our stairs are starting to look like stairs.

More to haul away.
These pictures were taken Saturday.  I hope to have more this evening with some framing done.  I hear them banging.  I hope I can see some progress.

Tu B'Shevat

Tu B'Shevat Seder

Tu B'Shevat (in Hebrew)

New Years for Trees
Please read short found in the local paper here

The seder plates had the seven species:
wheat, barley, grapes, figs, pomegranates, olives and dates.

Cantor Sheldon Feinberg was there to help lead the seder
There was about 50 people there, none of which we had ever met before.
It was very nice to meet so many new people

Last day

Last night we had a nice dinner at the top of one of the peaks.
We could see Telluride as the sunset and the night lights came to life.

Today was another wonderful day for the weather.
This is the tip top.
The stop for lunch was super cool.   We felt like we were tanning.
This is what we didn't do this week.

Great day of skiing

Today was really great.
We skied all day.  I did take a minute this afternoon to get Sam from the room.
He actually enjoyed skiing.
I will add a link to the ski videos ASAP

Sam was mesmerized by the chair lift
You can see telluride from up here
The Town Of Telluride again.  It's truly a wonderful mountain.
We are having a great time and no waiting.

Telluride

Hello from Telluride.
We had a very nice flight and the weather here is perfect.
This is Sam waiting for the shuttle to take us to the resort.

The view from our room this morning.
We had a great day skiing.  As you can see, the runs are crowded.
Not ever having to wait for the lift or hear a snowboarder come within centimeters from me is really appealing.
Everywhere, everyone has their dogs.
It is great to have Sam here too
He is being great.
