Oh My!! Can you belive it?

We have given into peer pressure and will "try" the game.
This is our golf teacher Kurt. Today we learned how to hold the club and swing.
We are still not sure if this is for us yet
Time will tell
I'll keep you updated

Morning walk

Hi everyone,

Just a taste of a morning walk on our beach.
Can you find Sam?
Who do you think HE thinks is the biggest dog?

Renovation is starting Monday

It looks like we might start our next project Monday!!

This project we will have help with.
For those of you who don't know, we have had quite a time since we bought a house on Hilton Head Island.  Our house is beautiful but looks can be deceiving. I will further explain in the future blogs but the short of it, the house had been attacked by the 10 plagues, or close to it.
We are doing an EXTENSIVE renovation.  We actually had to move out last week and since then ceiling in the garage has fallen in.  We rent the house "kitty corner" it our house.  This picture is taken from our garage and you can see the rental house as Bill heads toward it

This picture is from the street.  My car is parked at the rental, our house is to the left of the driveway.  It is actually in the same driveway.  We will have a great view of the activity.

Riding down memory lane

Here is Bill and Eli horseback riding then and now.

I needed a break

Corn chowder
REALLY good chocolate chip cookies
Polish Babka
and a chocolate pound cake

I feel much better now

This morning we took our normal walk on the beach at 7am.  THe tide was low so it was perfect but the wind chill was 28 degrees.  Sam wore a sweater.  That's cold for the beach.  We met up with our normal dog friends.  I'll take a picture soon of them and introduce you. Then the fingerprinting and some shopping.  Once I got home I decided to make some baked goods.  We are starting to have "workers" around and I like to bribe them.

Ever been fingerprinted by the FBI?

Today Bill got fingerprinted for his South Carolina medical license.
Sorry, not as glamorous being booked on insider trading.

We did find a friend.

The dolphins are everyday things.
Super cool.
Wait until ya'll come visit.

This is a GREAT shot.  The wine bottle makes the sunset even more elegant.

Best Fishes

So yesterday we needed a break.  Amongst all the disasters, we still live in a beautiful place.

Daniel and Francine Auclair are friends we made in January, New Years Eve to be exact.

Daniel had rented a boat for a week and the week was COLD.

Today it's 47 at 3pm!!!  it's supposed to be 27 tonight.

We did not catch any fish  but. . . .

never ending mess

First of all I need to let everyone know that the closet project was a big flop.  The whole wall came down that night.  Our builder was able to send someone over to repair the wall and re-hang the shelves.  So much for a future in construction.

Now the washer has over flowed in to two bathrooms and a carpeted hallway.
The plumbers are here. They say there is a block in the line somewhere.  They have to snake it.
Stay tuned for the next disaster

Out first project

Bill and I are not "mechanical" inclined

Bill's clothes closet fell after he just got it organized
Bill and I took on the adventure and went to home depot
This is our first successful project in this rental house.

Today we unpacked and unpacked.  The first floor actually looks pretty good.

Pictures and explanation coming soon
We hope everyone had a good weekend

Glenridge Close Drive

Today was a very emotional day. We put 740 Glenridge Close Drive, on the market. The past 3 days have been a flurry of purging & packing. There was also dentist appointments, last time with "my hairdresser" and a big hug to the best mail carrier EVER, Pierre. The house itself looks great. We never did anything to it in 4 years. The real estate agent (we are using the same one who sold it to us) is not going to change much to "stage it". We will cut off the phone and cable here so anyone who is still using Bill's old email address, please change it to Williambilekmd@gmail.com.
Even though this house never felt "nestie" to me, Bill seems to be attached. It is always sad to see something like a house go. (lets all hope it goes faster than we think)
Tommorrow we will take both cars, a Uhaul and the chihuahua back to our rental in Hilton Head. (I'll elaboate on that later)

Israel Branding

Last night we went to a summit. It was the most interesting thing I have been to in a long time. The main point was to show people about Israel "Beyond the Conflict"
There is a lot to say about it but I will just mention that everyday there is something is your life that is better because of something from Israel. I will elaborate later but ask you to hop around this web site and "be nosey"

Sam wants to find Ashira

I have been trying to send this video out for over 2 weeks. I found a way for everyone to see it.

Please comment. It was amazing to see Sam so interested in the baby crying.

The big pack up

I know most of you have heard of "The Big Dig".  This was a 10 year project in Boston to fix the roadways somehow.  I really never understood it but we have started our own version.  The Atlanta house is underway.  Today we spent the day throwing out all the trash we stored for over the past 4 plus years.  I am super happy with the progress.  The plan is to work here until Saturday morning and then we are renting a U-haul trailer to bring back the needed things to Hilton Head.  I have no idea if we will be able to put it on the market next week or not.  The realtor is coming by Friday morning to take a look.  I wish I had a picture or something cool to post tonight but nothing comes to mind.

Nursing on HHI

I have a lot to tell everyone but we will just start with today.
Bill and I started volunteering at the  Clinic today.  I worked from 9-12 giving TB skin tests to all the other staff and volunteers.  Bill followed another GYN and "learned the ropes"  His spanish came in handy.  The clinic is called VIM.  Volunteers in Medicine.  It is quite an operation. Check it out at www.volunteersinmedicine.org.

We are headed back to Atlanta this afternoon to try and clean up the house to be put on the market.
